"In August of this year, I [Amanda] will be joining a team of four to serve the Awana Ministry in Zambia, Africa. At Base, we believe the church needs more young people leading in ministry. Awana strives to see more children and youth know Jesus Christ. So, Base and Awana Zambia have worked together toward those goals for decades. The team and I will run a four-day training in Lusaka, then travel 400km north to Chingola to train churches in the Copper Belt. Our purpose is to train the Zambians in practical theological leadership and evangelism, with a focus on sports outreach. Awana Zambia will then take the training we provide and teach their local churches how to be Christian Leaders, how to engage relationally with their communities, and how to share both their testimonies and the gospel through sports ministry. In addition, I get the unique privilege to serve with another Base staff member in training two new trainers (good friends and fellow church members)! I'm excited to be a part of this multi-tiered discipleship."
The cost to send Amanda to Zambia is $1,800. f you would like to support her, or you'd like to know more about Base's ministry, please contact her at amanda[at]baseministry.org or visit https://www.baseministry.org/missions
