Hello Damascus Community Church and Christian School families,
As some of you may know, a wave of various viruses and illnesses have spread through the church and school. It has impacted so many that the school was unable to operate and was closed today. There are also concerns that bringing together a large group of people into a room during a time when these illnesses appear to be peaking is not a good idea.
So after much deliberation, the decision has been made to postpone our Building on Faith kick-off event, originally scheduled for this Wednesday, Nov. 16th. This was a very difficult decision because we are so excited to share with you about the vision for the future of Damascus Community Church and Christian School. But it is the right decision as the health of our congregation, staff, students, and families is our highest priority, so in order to avoid potential exposure, we are going to hold off a couple weeks.
The Building on Faith Kick-Off event has been rescheduled for Friday, Dec 2nd. More details to come. We hope you all be able to join us on that evening, it will be worth it. If you have any questions, feel free to contact Brian Merrell.
