Only 2 more weeks in the 3rd quarter and then we will be on Spring Break! Please be checking in with your students and on the Family Portal for grade updates and encourage them to finish this grading term strong! Here’s a look at this week’s edition of the Eagle Eye.
Do you ever have a last-minute change to your schedule and wish you could have your kids join after-school care? Good news! We are now able to take drop-ins for after-school care. Parents need to contact the school office ahead of time to notify us of your need for drop-in care and verify available space for your student(s). Your account will be billed $30 for each drop-in student. Families already contracted for after-school care will be billed at their normal contract rate for drop-ins. As a reminder, after-school care runs every full school day from 3:00-5:00 PM. Failure to contact the school office ahead of time to request drop-in care could result in late pickup fees.
Last week our high School Concert Choir competed in a local festival. This was their one and only chance this year to qualify for State. Receiving the highest marks our choir has ever earned they have secured a spot at State and will be competing again in May at Oregon State University. Go Eagles!
Attention High Schoolers! Save The Date for a Night Under the Stars DCS Spring Formal at The Aerie at Eagle Landing on Thursday, April 17th. Don’t worry parents…there is no school the next day on Friday, April 18th for Good Friday. Tickets will go on sale following Spring Break on Monday, March 31st. More details to follow!
Also coming after Spring Break…the SkyTree Book Fair! SkyTree Book Fair is a nonprofit organization committed to family-friendly book fairs that let kids be kids. SkyTree believes that book fairs should not expose students to explicit content, but instead, nurture a love for reading through wholesome, age-appropriate adventures. They serve schools and families by pre-screening books and excluding literature that contains explicit content.
